LOOKING TO DONATE AN ARTIFACT?
The Clackamas County Historical Society is always on the lookout for artifacts that will help us tell the story of Clackamas County. However, we unfortunately have very little storage space to properly house these objects. This means we often have to turn away those who wish to make artifact donations to our collection. Before reaching out to make this kind of donation, ask yourself these questions to help determine if CCHS is the right home for this object:
Is it relevant to Clackamas County?
Is it historically relevant?
Would it be more appreciated by friends or family members?
Would you be comfortable giving possession of the artifact to CCHS if you knew it would likely never be displayed and would only be used for research purposes?
